Well, thus far: web site continues to be put in place. You can now submit requests by web, and branch out to the latest content on there. Received verification that my incorporation has gone through today. I have a business phone number and business cards. And I've started my training classes to get my certifications back in order.

I'll need to open a bank account, make sure I'm set up to pay taxes properly, and start getting the word around so I can get some clients.

Okay...two other company owners have agreed to talk to me over coffee sometime. Going to discuss best practices and operations...still in the discovery phase of this. There is time to back out.

This sort of goes along with the "get a job" goal that I have - I'll be happy with either. It appears that there might be a market niche that I can get myself into which I hadn't previously known about before. I'm just getting my toe in the water right now, but it seems that I might be able to create an opportunity for myself as an independent computer repairman and trainer. We'll have to see.

I've decided that this will be my new political outlet: restarting my old political podcast. The Secret Frequency ran about 8 years ago; I produced 40 episodes in all, ranging from a half hour to a full hour.

My political viewpoint is, well, unique. I would definitely be considered a leftist here in the U.S., but not necessarily in other countries, and I am very definitely not aligned with the Democratic Party. I would hope that people from across the spectrum would find something interesting in it - even if they don't agree with it all.

Very strange happening yesterday. I tweeted a cute, funny picture of a sign outside the bagel shop I was having breakfast at. Several hours later, I awoke from a late afternoon nap to my phone going completely bananas; the Twitter notification was going off constantly. Apparently, Mara Wilson, who I'm told is an a former child actor and currently has a book out, somehow found my post and thought it was funny, and retweeted it. It now has over 500 likes, and I seem to have gotten a couple of followers from the whole deal as well.

Yes! I have a crying need for social acceptance, and for whatever reason I cannot seem to break 80 followers on Twitter. I'm @scooterbird6 on the Twit, and I post mostly about Green politics, baseball and other sports, and various wry observations about my life and my surroundings as I blunder through it.

When my wife or gfs take me to yarn shops to get knitting supplies, I will post whimsical pictures and reports to amuse myself while there.

Also, you can subscribe to @atomic_trivia to answer periodic trivia questions, or @hocogreens to learn more about my local political party!

It's fitting to pay tribute to the heroes of the past this way, I think. It occurred to me yesterday that I've never visited the grave of Edgar Allan Poe, either, and he's right in town. That's something I should plan to do as well.

This is Pete Gray. Any time I'm ready to give up at anything, I'm going to look at this picture.

Pete Gray is an inspiration to me. He only played one year in Major League Baseball, in 1945 for the St. Louis Browns before they became the modern day Orioles - but he did it with only one arm. Any time I think about giving up on things because they're too difficult for me, I think about Pete Gray.

And while I'm in the Wilkes-Barre area, I'm going to visit Romanelli's Bakery in Wyoming, Pennsylvania. It's owned and operated by the daughter of a friend of mine - a guy who ran for Senator on the Green Party ticket and should have won. And the food there looks really amazing.

Question about this one: are there any organizations other than the Red Cross which teach these classes? I don't mind taking it from them, but I don't really have the money to be shelling out for it. I was hoping there would be free training, or very low-cost training, available.

This is getting a bit more involved than I thought...I'm looking at a pretty large group of characters, much like a Shakespearean play (which it began as very, very roughly based on). I think I'm going to top out at about 15 characters...

Right now, I'm just going with the plotting of the story, but I've gotten quite a bit done just in that part alone. It takes place in New York, so I might take the train up there sometime to scout out various locations and just take in the ambience of the place.

This is already in process! It's a somewhat strange mash-up of GURPS, D&D5e, and the Hero System. I took the parts of each that I liked and mashed them all together. The part that I'm having trouble with now is how to properly do clerics and magic-users. I'm more or less borrowing D&D's magic system to do the trick...translating it into something that I could run properly would be the issue.
