I am back on 43things! Frankly, I am not loving (or liking) the new layout but my loyalty to this website (and fellow 43Trs) overrides my distaste! Cheers to new goals and new adventures!

So far, I've read The Piano Teacher by E. Jelineck and Dear Zari by Z. Kargar. Both are excellent books by amazing authors. Personally, Jelineck is one of my favorite authors and I would recommend her novels to anyone.

I would also recommend Kargar if you love non fiction and have an interest in Middle Eastern culture and women within that culture (or within predominately Islamic countries). Just recently, I lent the book to my coworker and she loved it!

Okay, okay...super duper excited about this one! Currently, I'm reading QED by R. Feynman, which was very well written for a layman like myself. But, but, that's not why I'm hyped up! I am excited because I put on hold The Attention Merchants by Ted Wu on the library for 4 whole months. There was, I believe, 32 people on the waitlist when I started. The last time I checked, I was #6 out of 27. But the library called and left a message, so there may be a chance that it's coming in!

Is it normal for people to get this excited about books? Do you guys get excited over books? I tell myself "Nudge, you are not a nerd" but it's getting harder everyday...

There is a German Grad Fair occurring this Friday and I plan on attending. Maybe there is a grad school I could possibly attend? If there is, I'll hoard chocolates and bring to you guys at the end of the semester lol!

Wow, 43things. I typed a whole paragraph and you just randomly deleted it. Was that your way that I talk too much lol?

Well, I'll keep this short ;3 I'm thinking of either doing an internship or pursuing some sort of education over there.

The last time I was tested for my fluency, I was at B1(Intermediate) level. I'm pretty sure that went down, seeing I haven't spoken German in over a year.

The good news is that my cousin downloaded this app where I can watch German programming for free. Specifically, I'm listening to Kabel Eins (Achtung Kontrolle!, before Mein Rauer) as we speak. Hopefully, I can pick up back my German possibly by listening consistently and engaging in other activities!! :3

    Good news and not-so-good news..

The good news was the fact that I finished the third round of antibiotics last week. So, I was able to sneak back to work this week and happily nestle back into my oatmeal flavored, pencil pushing job.

(Hey, it's only so much you can stay home and watch Wheel of Fortune...)

Another good news was, well, you guys! Your updates would pop up in my e-mail and it would make me smile. You have no idea how a 43tr cheer or comment would boost my day, especially if I was up all night nauseous or in pain! You all are the best!

It's a hard act to follow but the not-so-good news was that the third antibiotic had multiple side effects, one of which I am still struggling with after all this time (rash and inflammation of the skin). But more so, the not-so-good news is that there may be a possibility that I might not be 100% in the clear.

I definitely have an appt with my doctor (PCP) this Friday. I was also told to follow up with a specialist. Through it all, I'll keep your advice and cheers in mind and take it one day at a time.

Currently, I am on my third round of antibiotics and had to stop temporarily. I want to start it back up again, just to keep fighting my infection.

To be honest 43Trs, I just want to be okay. Going to doctor after doctor, med after med, and just wanting relief.

Truly, I am scared. Very scared. I don't want it to get worse. I just want to be and feel better. That's all I want.

@nudgethecurmudgeon are you able to walk? if not, maybe you could do light yoga or meditation/breathing exercises. any of these would help relieve stress, helping your immune system. hoping you feel better...

@moosey Your comment inspired me to go to my first yoga class tomorrow! Thank you so much for the great advice (it's easy coming from great 43trs like yourself)!

You'll be the first to know if I fall on my butt while doing a sun salutation lol

@moosey Sorry about that! It was so relaxing, it was a bit creepy! At one point, my back started to hurt me so much, I was concerned at what will happen as soon as it was finished. Instead, I hadn't had any backpain at all since and haven't slept this well in a long time! Thank you so much again Moosey (Going back again this week!!)

I am calm so far. The only reason why I am calm is because I just got off the phone with my PA who prescribed me the third round of antibiotics. He told me that I should hold it together until I can go see my PCP, so I will try to do so.

As soon as the morning comes, I am going to rush over there so I can continue taking the antibiotics. Hopefully, it would not be too long in that the bacterium did not become resistant or accustomed to the treatment.

Multiple times this week, I have been hysterical. I was hysterical this morning when I took a probiotic and broke out with an allergic reaction. I was hysterical when, now being out of work for more than a week (my money!!), I remembered my coworker had a show to go to and had to cancel just to cover my share of office work. I was hysterical when I went to a Urgentcare and realized that I couldn't afford it. Every other day, I have been in a bout of anxiety.

Now, I am calm but I just don't know about anything anymore. Typing out my struggle certainly helps, but I wish I can put my head down on a pillow and fully let go and fully relax.

You can type any date in plain English like in 3 weeks or next month.
You can also type in recurring due date like every day, every week and every month.
