    Hello,

    I wanted to write about this before, but somehow didn't get around to letting you know... When I was hospitalised for the first time in 2004, I was diagnosed with a severe mental illness. Yet I have been struggling with something else ever since I was about ten years old, if not younger (This would be almost 23 years ago.), which I still struggle with... I have the feeling that my mental illness(es) are really in the way between me now and reaching my goals.

    So I am currently looking for a therapist... However, I am also currently waiting for getting into day hospital (term?), so that I can learn in group settings how to deal with certain situations without indulging in my "usual behaviors"... I don't want to go into detail with this here, but it is really awful. Anyways, I have an appointment with a potential therapist the day after tomorrow, and I am awfully anxious about this...

    My last experiences with therapy were that one therapist said my problem(s) are so complex he wouldn't know where to start, and another one whom I had several meetings with then said he will not go on being my therapist, as he was about to move, and he acted like I told him nothing at all, whilst I remember talking about lots of things with him... That was frustrating. I do hope this time I will get a better chance, but I don't know what to tell without telling too much at once... I just hope this time it will stay.

    Anyhow, I am writing this mainly for other people who are contemplating on getting a place with a therapist. I know it is awful to seek one, but please don't give up.

    Heyhey!

    I started learning Japanese several years ago, even studied Japanese at university for one year... I recently took a course in Japanese at the folk high school, but I still have the feeling it needs a lot of improvement. This time, I am learning by myself... I would love to get some help there, think tandem partners from Japan learning German, but then again, I am horrible at keeping up conversations due to other problems I am struggling with.

    I honestly have no real idea how to learn the kanji... With some kanji, I can remember them clearly, especially if there is a "story" attached to it which is easy to remember... But many kanji look like each other, only with subtle differences, and this frustrates me. I love Japanese, I love learning about the culture and history... I just sometimes have the feeling I am not progressing with this goal.

    Anyhow, this is the CURRENT state. Of course, I sometimes have days when it goes better... I just wish I knew something that would help me... If anybody has any ideas, or any study tips (esp. for kanji learning), please tell me... ^_^

    Hello everybody!

    I did the first step towards this goal yesterday, which means I created a space to save up money for the tattoo (and some other goals, too). I must admit, I have NO idea how much this will cost, but I have a - more or less - clear idea what I want to get tattooed & where 🙂. "More" because I know WHAT should be tattooed, "less" because I still didn't draw something worthy of getting tattooed. I just have trouble with drawing the image.

    I might ask my sister for help; her drawing skills are way above my own, plus I would feel honoured to get something tattooed which she had drawn.

      @khaosinkinema A good artist should be able to help you with the drawing as well, and may have some suggestions on how it'll translate to skin-- sometimes a design needs tweaking to look good in certain places, especially arms or legs. Absolute minimum most reputable places charge is around $60, anything lower than that and I would be suspicious.

    Hello everybody!

    I started working on this goal yesterday, by creating something I can save money in 🙂. This goal will be reached in no time... 😉 I roughly know how much this will cost & I know that I will get it pierced at my new piercer's studio, as she's doing a fabulous job there.

    Hope everybody is doing well... Daith piercings are so beautiful~!!

    Hello! :)

    I still need to get used to how updating works here... Anyhow, I doubt that anybody remembers me, but I did make a few friends on here, too... My old username was Khaosinkinema, too 🙂. Some may even know me by the name of Rina. I really loved this place on the internet; it was so inspiring to read about other people's successes and I felt understood, too, as it was possible to really get a look behind the scenes of success.

    Ah well. I AM SO HAPPY 43 THINGS IS BACK!! :)

    Hello everybody.

    This is my first-priority goal so-to-say. 🙂 Until very recently, I felt quite down in all aspects of my life, and didn't get around to doing much for this goal, unfortunately, and this created some kind of "Writer's Block"... I now discovered some tips on how to write (better) songs, and I am really amazed, and definitely want to try this...

    Just an information: I mainly sing and play the electric guitar, but also want to write my own songs. So far, I have managed to do so quite often, but had the feeling my results in songwriting never really resembled what I expected from the actual song 😞... But I am not willing to give it all up! I know this sentence is completely overused / cheesy, but music really is my life. It is the only reason I see for my existence, and the only thing that regularly touches my heart, sometimes unexpectedly, but I belong there.

    Hello everybody! :)

    I have started my weight loss journey actually in February, but I had lost a significant amount of weight beforehand, too (Comparing August last year with February, I had lost about five kilos, which is a lot, knowing that I didn't really do much for this.). Now, however, I am concentrating on really gettiing ahead with this goal of mine.

    Right now, I have reached the weight of 103.2 kilos (about 227.5 lbs), and I do notice some improvements already, which may sound subtle to some but they aren't. My goal weight is about 60 kilos / 132.3 lbs, but I will take the journey one step at a time. I know it's going to take some time (After all putting on all the weight did take some time, too!), but eventually I will get there 🙂.
