every day things, like how DID that chicken get into the yard?
I kept track of my books on goodreads.
I should have kept track of them here at the same time.
goodreads is a wonderful place to keep track of things
@diamondlightfoot Way to go!!
I'm at 51. I'm curious to see how much over that I can get, although with my hours the next few weeks, there'll be lots less time for reading. I need to copy down my goodreads to list the books. I should have been keeping up with that here. Ah, well. At least I hit my goal. If I could keep from getting sidetracked, I'd have finished it ages ago.
I'm at 40. Only 10 more to go. Currently I'm working on A Gathering of Shadows, second in a trilogy called Shades of Magic. REALLY great characters. After that, it's a short story in an anthology. I'm still in A Bazaar of Bad Dreams. Then it's on to Sleeping Beauties! Then I'm not sure what direction I'll go in, but I'm thinking maybe John Grisham or a romance. I have a couple of Jude Deveraux's I haven't gotten to yet. But then again, I could start working on my Wheel of Time goal, or maybe a reread of The Bone Doll's Twin and continue on with that series.......such decisions! Maybe Artemis (Andy Weir). I could make a whole list of books I want to get to. My tbr is huge. lol
@diamondlightfoot don't you love a great book/series?? It's one of those bitter sweet things where you want to see how it ends but hate when it's over.
@Andia It took me forever to read the last of the Dark Tower books. I just didn't want it to end. I've got so many I want to read and not nearly enough time to do it in. I'd have to live to 107 to get through half of them. I have a number to reread, too. And series to continue with (and revisit). I love the Shades of Magic trilogy. Most of the joy in a book for me is the characters and if they're well written, that puts me right in the middle of the pages.
@diamondlightfoot I've never read the dark tower series and you are so right about the characters. Once they are built you care about them.
@Andia In the DT series, my favorite characters were Eddie and Oy. I love Kell in the Shades of Magic but Lila is easy to identify with.
I'm at 25 and still need to put the list together. I don't know how I'm getting so sidetracked. One that I recently finished is on a recommend list: Soleri by Michael Johnston. If you like ancient Egypt, this fantasy (which reads a bit like historical fiction) will be up your alley. Great book. I'll have to see what else he has written that I might be interested in.
I'm up to 20 for the year on goodreads. I hope to work on and get finished Soleri by Michael Johnston today. Tor requested a review. It comes out June 6th, if I remember right.
I had to do some research to find out how to get it all done, but I had some good help.
I think more tax professionals should consider doing this.
I'm so happy to have this site back. I've found some old 43T friends and made some new ones and will continue on!
It is easy to do these things when you care about the people you are in contact with.
lol I've known this wonderful lady a long time. Wishing her well on her day is a simple thing.
After saving, it will be sealed for 2 years. Are you sure you wrote everything you want?
Changing the goal title is basically creating or joining another goal. All your activity and media will move to the new goal.
Removing this goal from your done list will delete all it's activity and you will not be associated to this goal anymore. Try edit this entry instead
I truly believe Augustine’s words are true and if you look at history you know it is true. There are many people in the world.
