Talk about an amazing experience to have in your life. Although completing this goal means travelling a little bit further north. Well For me that means a trip to Sweden or Norway. Another dream to follow!

I read here about the place called Abisko,
the lights out there should be amazing. Perhaps I need a new goal - "Get to Abisko!" :)

@RitaMargo I think it is beautiful there. I went to Abisko National Park at Midsummer once, and we also visited the nearby Ice Hotel at JukkasjΓ€rvi in December. I saw the northen lights while at the latter. If I had to choose, I would go back in December.

My friend was at the beach once with er kids and they found a bottle with a message inside it. The message didn't say much, it was the names of those who sent it and their email address , something like: HI, ours names are so and so, if you found this message contact us on this email address. I don't know if she ever did contact them, but I think if she did ,they would be pretty surprised and happy. I think it is kind of magical to send something into nowhere and one day to get a reply from there.

Anyone knows anything about fasting? I don't mean in a crazy way, like not eating in order to lose weight. I heard somewhere that fasting for example 1 day a week can be very good to weight loss and for your body in general. Kind of a detox day. Anyone with experience?
Meanwhile I will try to find some sources actually talking about it and pros and cons. For this kind of thing I definitely going to need a partner 😉

@merkuria yes, what I meant is fasting 1 day in a week or maybe 2 weeks ( probably every week would be too hard). I know fasting is not a way to lose weight, but as you said it helps your digestive system, kinda cleans it.
I will look more into intermitent fasting you mentioned. I am going to need all my will power to do it even for one day!

@RitaMargo Hi !! I m from India, here we do 1 day fasting every 15 days. Very few people do it. In our Hindu calendar that day is called as ekadasi. On this day we don't eat anything but to start one can do with just have fruits or vegetables on that day. It is good for health.

@gurunaveen wow, I never heard about it! It is amazing that the whole culture has this tradition. It usually proves that the thing IS healthy!

@RitaMargo It is not a really big deal if you choose one day and fast. Fasting is different in every culture, my culture includes fish in the fast but no eggs or diary products. Russians don't eat any fish either. You can have no negative effects on your body if you skip meat, eggs and milk and diary products for one day. You can use german dark bread or other dark bread (I forgot how you call full-sth.sth bread in english), will keep you full and has no eggs or milk. I strongly advise you to use dark bread, because I once fasted and ate white bread, and then ate too much white bread and gained weight during several weeks of fasting. Drop snacks. E.g. potato chips is completely OK as a food for fasting, but it is a toxic disaster for our body. You can or don't have to eat fish that. Drink a lot of water. Maybe you can check some vegan diet recommendation, because fasting in my culture is basically what vegans do (the ones who don't eat milk and eggs). Honey should be ok, let's not overdo it. Oh, forgot to say it, in my culture (I guess it goes for all christians) fasting days are Wednesday and Friday. I forgot why. There is some religious explanation. My mum is doing both days and she is REALLY fit. It is embarrassing how much fitter then I she is.

You can type any date in plain English like in 3 weeks or next month.
You can also type in recurring due date like every day, every week and every month.
