I should book a facial and hair treatment soon. November and December are toxic work months. Ugh!

Over the last couple of weeks I have been doing Leslie Sansone Walking 4 times a week. I get up early and do it before work. Shes actually really motivating. So although I hate getting up early I have found that I feel better.

In 2013 I had treatment for breast cancer. I went through a Lumpectomy, Chemotherapy & Radiotherapy and am currently taking tamoxifen everyday. But thankfully due to all the above I've been NED (No Evidence of disease) for 4 years now. (Touching wood everyday that this continues.)

I did have a wobble a month back when the negative thoughts returned and anxieties got the better of me though. It made me think about how far I've come and how I should be treasuring every moment.

I get a routine appointment twice a year. February / March to the breast clinic and August/ September to see my oncologist. Between these times I'm left on my own to trust my body. Have faith in myself. This is hard. From the top to the bottom I need to look after myself better. In what I eat, to how I hold myself, to the exercise I do. Everything about what I do and how I spend my time. Negative thoughts have never helped me. I need to be around positive people doing things that I love. Need to find some me time. Relax, Have Fun and Look After ME!!!!

Got my hair cut again, at the same salon in the same style - except one inch longer this time. It's almost perfect :-)

Changed a few things out - I had set out to use up a few sub-par things while saving the already bought nicer variety for later.
Time to ditch the sub-par variety and use the new things. Much better!
Plus, I ordered a few replacement parts for a few household things instead of wrestling around broken things.
Now off to schedule a hair cut and I'm good for the week ;-)

I actually bought a small thing for myself that I wanted not needed. I feel no guilt. Taking care of others (by profession) at work and at home means not only do I deserve to rest but I need it to renew myself. Yeah!

Yep! Took a 20 minute power nap. Felt great. Refuse to feel guilty. I AM HUMAN. What's next?

I tried to grow my hair out a bit. It was just over shoulder length and looked terrible.

Made an appointment at a new stylist and now it's over 2 inches shorter again. Short neck, longer in the front.

I'm not doing to great at the growing out it seems, but I like the new style :-)

@ahorrasi I had hair down over the shoulders for most of my life, too - but lately it's just getting on my nerves. Do you enjoy your long hair?

@spatz definitely much better than i would short! The only time it's ever a real prblem is when i lapse on grooming (frighteningly often for a woman my age) and thenit gets matted - I would consider going the dreds route before cutting it, though, that's for sure!

@ahorrasi An acquaintance that had dreads claimed they were even more maintenance than "normal" hair. Ouch. I've had matting, too, it's just my babyfine hair. Putting it up or back helped πŸ€”
