    170) Guilty Pleasures (Anita Blake Vampire Hunter #1) by Laurell K. Hamilton - HATED THIS SO MUCH. I rarely say this about a series. I will not be reading anything further in the Anita Blake series. I realize this was one of the original urban fantasy series and that it inspired a lot of other writers in the genre, but I hated so much about this book, I didn't like any of the characters, and I didn't think the writing was very good. BLECH!

    169) Conspiracy of Blood and Smoke by Anne Blankman - follow up (and concluding volume to the duology) A Prisoner of Night and Fog. Also YA. I loved the first one, the second one was just okay. I had trouble with it because I felt the first book ended sufficiently, the entire plot of the second book was idiotic on the parts of both of the main characters.

    165) Past Midnight (Past Midnight #1) Mara Pumhagen - This one is a YA paranormal mystery (ghost stuff) with family dynamics drama and a little romance. Cute, light read. I enjoyed it.

    163) The Burning World (Warm Bodies #2) by Isaac Marion - There is totally going to be a third book. This is all filler and backstory. Everyone is selfish and annoying. Why couldn't he leave well enough alone? I really enjoyed Warm Bodies, but this made me want to slap ALL of them (except maybe M, he was pretty badass). I will obviously read the third book when it comes out, I hope it is more satisfying than this middle volume.

    162) Dead and Alive (Dean Koontz's Frankenstein #3) by Dean Koontz - I am only rereading this to read the fifth and final book that was released after I had finished the series in 2009 (ish). I hate leaving things unfinished. This rereading is decreasing my opinion of the series overall. I gave this two stars (I had given it three before). I'll be glad when I am done with this series, I have to say, this is one that I am sorry I didn't know about the fifth book sooner when I wouldn't have had to reread the entire series.

    161) Quiet Neighbors by Catriona McPherson - a multi-plot murder mystery set in small town Scottland. Interesting idea and mostly good execution. Read in less than a day, so for me, it was very engaging. 🙂 It has books, murder, mystery, small town drama, books, family themes, books...oh, and did I say books?
