I resubmitted some paperwork for my federal loans today. I really need to pay more towards the private one -- it's much less, and by cutting back some spending I can have that one out of the way pretty soon. I'm going to think about setting some goals on Mint to figure out how to approach it.

This is hard for me. I felt like I was making progress and then grad school happened and while I am glad I am going it felt like a back slide financially. I am hoping that making and fingers crossed keeping to a budget will help with this.

Welp this has definitely been on my list since 43T 1.0. I hate still having this hanging over me, but I've certainly come a long way since then. I paid off the federal loans. I consolidated the private loans. I'm paying mostly principal finally. I'm paying more than the minimum. And I -- not aaaalways, but often 🙂 -- put extra paychecks and bonuses toward them. And with all that, it's still going to take me at least another two years, groaaaaaaaan. This one will feel GOOD to finally cross off the list.

Definitely a longer term goal, but something I want to get off my plate sooner rather than later. I think my last calculation had me paying off my loans in the next 2 years, saving me nearly $1000 in interest...going to re-calculate soon!

You can type any date in plain English like in 3 weeks or next month.
You can also type in recurring due date like every day, every week and every month.
