    I have started a meditation on focusing which has three stages. Each stage takes a week starting with five minutes and increasing one min each day till 10 mins.
    First stage is to focus to the mind and observe whatever comes in mind like watching a movie. Trying to notice all visions, thoughts, sounds, sensations etc.

    first day 5 minutes done.. I noticed that my mind is so incredibly so busy, jumping from thought to thought, a lot going on there 🙂 its like its not stopping even a second.

    2 nd stage will be sending away whatever comest to the mind. 2 nd week.

    And thrid will be focusing only one thing and keep the focus on that one thing.. 3rd week .

    This will keep me 3 weeks in daily meditation..

    I do meditate during the week when the boyfriend is at work. The time of the day seems to be quite random though, and I like to do it in the morning eventually, but first focus on doing it at all. So all is good during the week since I don't have a job at the moment, I'm alone at home and all is nice and quite.

    During the weekend we are more busy with other things though, so finding the time is more difficult (but doable so far), as well as that it is more noisy and I seem to be not good at meditating with distracting noises. Often the boyfriend is watching tv in the next room, or cooking, or whatever people do in their home. I don't want to ask him to stop doing his things because I want to meditate and in all honesty, I think eventually meditating should also allow you to do it in a noisy environment. Anyone has some tricks for doing this? I guess it comes with practice and should just try it over an over. In a year I'll be laughing at this post. :D
