    10 Days from the half marathon

    Our group ran the hills portion of the half marathon route this past Tuesday. There are some tough hills here. Getting used to these climbs should help on race day.

    Yesterday I could not make the group run in the evening so I decided to do a short run from home. Starting out my glute pain was more intense than usual. I'm not sure why. And a smarter person would have quit and not risk injury. Not me. I continued and hoped the pain would go away in a mile or so as it usually does.

    And it did!! In about a mile it was just about gone and I was moving smoothly. I could even pick up the pace a bit. And I did not have to take any walk breaks.

    this was a very encouraging run and I felt good when done.
