I was given several things to work on by my doctor and I am ashamed to admit I haven't been able to truly focus on or incorporate any of the changes on a substantial basis. She even mentioned that she didn't want her patients not to return because they hadn't completed any of the steps in their plan of action.

I had this silly hangup about needing to write things down and I felt that a planner would be an appropriate place. The problem was that I didn't want to use my current one and my eventual one would only be for the new year so I was kind of just in limbo.

I finally ordered a book to help me work on making (and tracking) these improvements sooner so I'm looking forward to receiving it and finally making progress.

I woke up with vertigo this week and I was reminded that I felt dizzy the week prior, too. If it continues, I may get it checked out. It seems that more often than not, this type of thing tends to be associated with the ear.

It didn't last during the day but I felt it lying down, while I was still waking up. Then a little bit as I got up and walked around, but eventually it went away.

Someone mentioned ear crystals and it led me to this article:

This week I noticed a type of stringyness in my inner cheeks more. I'm sure it's not the first time I experienced this, but it seemed worse this week and I wondered if it could be thrush-related (which a lot of searches seem to mention). But I couldn't figure out what had really changed to bring this on.

I then came across this article and they refer to toothpaste. I do remember certain toothpastes not working as well for me and causing a bit of gooeyness but the one I am using now generally seemed okay. It wasn't necessarily my favorite but it was decent and it lasted a while, which I liked.

It's tough to know but I will actually be trying a new toothpaste soon so we'll see if it subsides.

Through a BIA test (bioelectrical impedance analysis), I was able to learn that my phase angle (or cell health) was very good - at the top of the range.

I was reading more about the phase angle here, in case anyone is interested: https://www.inbodyusa.com/blogs/inbodyblog/your-body-and-you-a-guide-to-phase-angle

I learned that I have insufficient vitamin D (which is probably fairly common) so I will start to take a supplement.

I couldn't help but wonder how this was affecting me, though, seeing as most of us wouldn't even know we are lacking it. I wondered what difference it would make to have a sufficient amount and what the main benefits of this vitamin were.

We may most often think of the absorption of calcium. When I asked what it was good for, the three main things mentioned were the immune system, bones, and long-term health and the prevention of certain cancers (it seems there may be a correlation between certain cancers and low vitamin D).

In my case, it is the bones and long-term health that motivate me to increase my levels. It was also interesting to hear about someone with MS who only used vitamin D as a treatment, and of family members who would normally all fall ill (e.g. cold season) and then didn't once they increased their vitamin D.

    Week of July 31

    Day 1:
-Drank 600ml of water (but also drank some other things I shouldn't have). I tried drinking half upon waking but maybe managed about a third. Tried to take sips throughout the day and drank most this evening.
    -Walked about 20 minutes outside.

You can type any date in plain English like in 3 weeks or next month.
You can also type in recurring due date like every day, every week and every month.
