Off to the garbage - a set of Windows 98 and Windows XP CDs. The handbooks that came with them are in the recycling bin. And off to the recycling bin with a book that didn't stand up great to the test of time. It's beyond saving. And so off they go.

Off to the recycling - about 50 envelopes of Christmas cards and such that were stored with the cards. Off they go. Warning to the cards: you'll be sorted next :)
And off to the garbage - another six CDs that hid in a shelf. The computers they belonged to are long history. Off we go.

Off to the recycling - a set of pill bottles. 8 of them, and all of them have been sitting at the exact spot I put them half a year ago. Off we go.

Off to the donation pile - two scarves that weren't used for way too long. They never seem to fit in with a thing. And they're both brand new. So, off to let someone else enjoy them.

A pile of ill fitting or ripped jeans went to the curb last week. I really thought about a project in which I could use them but I'm glad to see them go.

With a heavy heart off to the garbage - the plush teddy bear I was given when he was larger than me. I kept it all those years, but it has not aged well. Insects have gotten to it. Bye bye teddy bear.

Oh no!!!! So sorry......what about just a decent burial???

I have stuff in storage that I fear the worst for (storage unit with no climate control.....oy....) contents including stuff from childhood. Gulp.

@beequeen I'm afraid it's too large for that. But we packed him up nicely.
Oh, do check up on your childhood stuff. Teddy was filled with sawdust, and that seems to attract all kind of pests. I hope your things are all right and safe!

@beequeen i recently threw away - as, unceremoniously and in the dump - 8 or 9 diaries/journals I had from 10th grade on. Some covered some pretty good years too. But 1/2 of them were unreadable/mouldy due to water damage in 2009 (leaving the bin with them out in the rain... doink!!!!) and even if that were not the case, the ideas/identity/personality in them was mouldy as all getout and in a sense more than i could stand to carry around

still was not super easy though let me tell you

Off to the garbage - one dining room lamp that lived way beyond it's time. The new lamp is mounted and off we go.

Off to the donations pile - one top of days gone by - it's about 15 years old and has not been worn in 10 years. Plus one paperback of The Age of Innocence.
Plus five CDs of backups and programs dating back to 2000 cracked and off in to the garbage.
    More space. Less dross.
