    Cleaned my closet and got rid of many of my "I'll wear this someday" and " this is for special events" clothes.
    My clothes I wear are easier to find and I'll allow myself something new for future special events.
    Baby steps.

    I am so fed up with all the shit...
    I have actually made some progress but it is still bad. A lot of it belongs to my husband but a lot is still mine.
    I am starting to feel that all this decluttering is taking time from my kids. Their room, kitchen and living room are fine though - so happy about that. It is mostly our clothes, the garage and the "black hole" (extra room used for storage but we want it to become another bed room in 2018). And tons of paper everywhere...
    But I ahve a plan and I need to focus on what is mine and I WILL DO THIS.

      @linneah it can seem like you are spinning your wheels. Try breaking it down to smaller goals: today I will sort through one box/bag of items, for example.
      Keep it up! You are getting there!

        @lauralee thanks!!
        Yes, it is true that I am moving in the right direction at least. Almost stopped buyng things and have gotten rid of some things.

        Another (small) bag with kid's clothing to drop of at consignment store today, anything she won't take is going directly to charity, which I plan to drop off in the weekend (have six big bags of good stuff to them already).

        Also, and this is huge, me and DH sat down to discuss two of the messy rooms and what the goal is. Found out that we are aligned on the goals and then wrote down what we need to take care of to get there. So we have a task list visible on a table, meaning it is very easy to just go there and "do", no need to "think" before we start. I think that is really good for him especially.

    This past weekend I finally recycled a bunch of empty glass bottles that I've been hoarding the last 2-3 months. Just a little less clutter now! One small step...

    I have many things that would be more useful to someone else. I plan to start identifying and lose some clutter.

    I'm going to go through some books today and maybe take them in for one of the ladies I work with. If I get rid of at least ten, that'll help.

    First declutter my office, by getting rid of all the outdated books. Then organize the rest of them into the five bookcases.

    Ahhh, The mess has taken over. My nickname growing up was "Hurricane" because I left a trail of destruction wherever I went. I have never been able to get a handle on putting things away (or not saving everything in the first place). I moved a few days ago, so I got a nice push to really utilize the trash can. I realized today that I no longer need to keep pay stubs from 2004... I have a whole bankers box full of papers that I can shred tomorrow morning.
