#12- The daughter of my Bible Study teacher showed an interest in learning to crochet, so l put together a little starter kit for Miss 12. Including my favourite sized hook, some yarn and a tiny pair of scissors ✂️ and a list of my favourite you tube sites. That way she gets to learn something new without her Mum having to put up any money and if she doesn't like it or gets bored her Mum hasn't lost anything.
Miss 12 called me to thank me for her package! She was so excited to get home and get on the website! When l gave her Mum the package for Miss 12 she was so touched, l have lots and l'm happy to share!
#11- Coconut cake, Coffee and tea for the local fire brigade! Edit The fire station was locked up tight, so this one went instead, nice and hot to the Sunbury Police Station. Next week I'll do the Fire Brigade!
I have 40 more random acts of kindness to do before my birthday in October that's 19 weeks away, so, l need to do at least two RAK's a week. Wish me well!!
#10- Discarding old and thin towels. Its the start of winter so we are donating to a local animal shelter to keep the orphans warm and dry.
#9- Random man at the football spilt coffee l gave him serviettes to clean up!
#8- Today is "Bus driver Appreciation day" apparently! Who knew?! It was all over the radio today so even though l don't catch the bus l think its not an easy job all the traffic and passengers that hassle you all day so.. l wrote this postcard and made a care package of coffee, two types of tea and home made cookies, lm going to the bus terminal later and whichever bus is there l'll thank that Driver for their work and give them this gift!! I hope one passenger makes them smile today!!
I found a lady bus driver going on shift, so l thanked her and handed over the goody bag, she was surprised and very thankful and she smiled!! So mission complete!!
#7- My good deed for today!!
I met a sweet little elderly lady Fay, at the park today, she shared the park bench with us. We got to talking and she told us about her life, she had two sons, one had died and one lived in the nearby street, she has Grandchildren and she was staying with him because she had fallen and broken her wrist, my daughter asked her "Do you want to go home or would you stay if he asked you?" She said "It would be nice to have company but I don't think my daughter in law would like it" she said sometims she goes for walks just to get out, so I showed her where my street was and told her my house number and told her anytime she would like to, she was welcome to drop in for a cup of tea and a chat. A huge smile crossed her face and she said "Well, you know what? I would like that!"
My daughter commented on the way home "Mum that was so nice, do you think she'll come?" I don't know if she will, but I hope she does!
Its sad to be an older person and not feel wanted. The stories she could tell! She met her husband in Melbourne during the war he was a Dutch Airman, after the war he came back to Melbourne and married her, and they brought his Mother and Sister over from Holland... Such wonderful memories and stories and no one to listen to them.
@Queen Purrs Like A Kitten very sweet and sad story and so happy you were there to make a difference
@wyverndust thanks! I hope Fay comes for coffee or tea!
#6 Aldi let an elderly couple jump the line they had less stuff than us.
@Queen Purrs Like A Kitten I went to Aldi today too
@wyverndust oh sorry l missed you! We could have chatted over the vegetable section!!
@Queen Purrs Like A Kitten what was interesting was that there was an English lady in there making loud comments about things :)
#5 RAK to the earth! Collected rubbish in the Aldi car park because someone had to!!
#4- Rubbish collection.
Today I went down to my sons sports ground, the game was over and most of the people had left but there was heaps of rubbish laying around, so my 3 yr old Grand daughter Sweetpea and I got a rubbish bag and picked up a HEAP of rubbish. I made it a game for her so that she would help me and we had lots of fun and scrubbed our hands and used the air drier afterwards. I wish more parents would be so hands on keeping our childrens sporting field clean!

I truly believe Augustine’s words are true and if you look at history you know it is true. There are many people in the world.
