How I did it:

I set myself this goal l also tied it in with my "Minimalist" challenge which really helped! Being accountable to my 43t friends is a big help because you kept me focused and because l knew l was posting photos l made sure to do it each day!

I kept telling people who were expecting to see an end result therefore it kept me accountable and inspired.

Set small goals to declutter & organize each area.  Not everything has to be done in one day.  Break things up into manageable pieces.  

I first went through all my kitchen drawers and got rid of anything I wasn't using, didn't like, or didn't need anymore.  Did that in January and just really having organized drawers made me feel so good.

Then in February, after I finished the garage, I went through the cabinets and drawers, as well as the closet in the master bedroom and bathroom.  It felt great to have things so organized and getting rid of things that no longer served me.

Got my teenagers to go through their dressers and take out anything that didn't fit or they no longer liked.  Now their dressers are no longer jam packed.

Now, in March, my goal was to tackle the kitchen cabinets as well as have the kids do their bathroom cabinet.  It was to finish by the end of Spring Break, which is Sunday.

Lessons:

Pace yourself.  Don't hang onto things you dislike or don't use often enough.
