need to do it more often, and discover new places.
Rana is exhausted after a weekend of family get togethers
Well, it doesn’t look like this is going to happen this year. Between conflicting schedules, and my friend just starting a new job… sigh…......
Worth doing!
Overall it was great fun camping at the Reading festival although I hardly slept. Also, I found myself waking up and feeling really claustrophobic in the tent! I just had to get out of it in the middle of the night and walk around a bit.

Well, It rained, It flooded, I had a blast.
While I didn’t sleep all that well, camping always renews my soul, and this was no exception.
Why does food always taste better outdoors at 10,000 feet?
Worth doing!
Find a provincial/state park that has the amenities that are important to you and your group.
Do you need hot showers? Flush toilets? Car access?
beach time? hiking trails?
There is so much info online, it is pretty easy to find a place that can offer the things that will make your trip fun.
Things to think about:
~ziploc type bags are wonderful – for food, snack, books, maps, anything you don’t want to get wet.
~ Use something between the ground and your sleeping bag
~ Be considerate of others if you are in a large campground – your singing may not be as amazing as you believe :-)
- Keep things simple and have fun.
More posts in the future!
I want to do this for the simple reason that I haven’t camped since I was a kid!
Firstly though i’m going to have to find the right people and preferably girl to come along.
After all trips like this are made or broken on the company and campfire tales that come out of it!

mellfire is clearing lots of clutter that she's been hanging onto for years
I was in the girl scouts and we’d go each year and have the time of our lives. I really miss it and I keep meaning to organise a trip with my son and as many other people as we can…. he’s never been camping and he’d love it.
Just got back from my second camping trip. Although it was fun going both times with the boys, next year I’ll definitely have a Mommy and Daddy only trip :)
