    stolen  — 2 months ago

In 2007 my bicycle was stolen! I would feel bad except I had been ignoring it for too long and I inherited it from an aquataince so the only money I lost was the $15 I spent on the cheapo lock and $2 for filling the tires with air. On the bright side, I hope its getting more use and being appreciated more by its new owner.

I am on my bike daily  — 2 months ago

    Worth doing!

The next step for my, ideally, is to get a motorbike, but I’m not sure if it is worth it in case I hurt myself. It is a possibility to hurt yourself on anything, but it would give me more freedom. I’ll have to think about the pros and cons quite a bit.

As for my push-bike, I am on it daily. It needs new tires ideally, as the ones I have are certainly the worse for wear, and it won’t cost that much money to get them re-done, but I’ll leave it until I am back from England. I think that it’s not so important now.

As for now, I’m on my bike daily. That’s about as good as it gets.

I think I’d benefit from being out of air con life full stop, for at least a few hours a day, in the shade. The moisture in the air would benefit my skin, and it might stop this strange acne that’s come from no where. Damn. I need to be out on my bike more and I need to have better skin today. If my dermy wrecks my botox, it’ll all be ruined.

I’ve been enfeebled recently by a stroke, but I want to become stronger, and manage to come up to the challenge of actually riding my bike as far as it will go. It’s a normal push bike without gears. It’s had many ups and down, lord knows, but it’s better than nothing, and I’m glad for it. I want to ride it as far as I can, and make sure I don’t wreck myself because of the weather. I’ll read about how often I should take breaks, and one day, I will entirely devote myself to going as far as my little legs can carry me.

I’d like to get one of those bike pedometers so that I can measure how far I am going.

I wish I would go into the gym more often. I will make an effort to go in tomorrow.

I have to go to the shop on my bike right now!

Trial ride  — 4 months ago

I rode my bike to and from work the other day and it wasn’t hard at all. Actually, I didn’t think it would be that hard since it’s only about 5 miles each way, but I just needed to put some effort into working out the details like getting to work sweaty and making sure that I wasn’t going to need my car at any point during the day. It worked out great and my goal is to try to do it once a week. It will save on gas, decrease my carbon footprint, count as my workout for the day and give me the chance to prepare for and decompress after work.

I’ve moved to NYC, and no longer have a car. I take public transportation and ride my bike everywhere. As such, I’m marking this one as done!
