make music

One obstacle I had to learn to overcome is removing my ego from my music. When playing in an ensemble the total should always be greater than the sum of its parts. Give others the room they need in order to internalize the composition.

i want to make music or learn/attempt to.

This is depressing. I’ve been playing piano for twelve years but realize being able to read and interpret music well is very different from composing. Harmony seems incredibly difficult to understand. Maybe I just need to be taking it slower?

I’ve been making original music ever since my freshman year of high school. The process has been slow and unrewarding, but ultimately worthwhile.

My style of music has changed with the years, and I won’t be surprised if it continues to do so. In fact, I hope I never get stuck in the same niche.

But therein lies my struggle. Perhaps if I just rooted myself in one style, I’d be able to get that satisfaction I desire?

Maybe?

Or maybe toying around with different music allows me to discover new tones and timbres, which will really lead to artistic satisfaction…

I currently make electro / dance / 8-bit music.

i made this when i was single

I have been making my own music for 3 years now. I have really exerted a lot of effort in learning everything about music. From song writing to synthesis, I even got a job in the entertainment industry. I have bought the gear and learned how to use it. It is time record my first album. One song at time.

Perhaps the process of writing, editing, and enjoying my own music will make me feel like i’ve actually done something with my life.
