I don’t really get how to upload a photo yet, but I created a new page for the California Route 66 Museum in Victorville, CA.

I couldn’t really figure out the sandbox examples, so I went and copied formats from other listings and pasted them into my page.

I have a passing familiarity with html, but the format… I don’t get it and it’s going to take more concentration and thought than I expected to actually get the thing online.

How come they don’t have easy formatting like Blogger or something? Maybe that would make it too easy??

Over the last 4 days, I contributed quite a bunch to the Comparison of database tools page. NB: the best all around data manipulation and modeling tool turned out to be SQL Maestro. Do I get a free license?

I’ve always been fascinated by Wikipedia and just a few minutes ago read a really stimulating newspaper article on it.

Won’t allow me to have an account on there. I’m blocked for some reason. I can’t get in touch with the powers that be.

I did not get into my master’s programs (the first choice or second choice). This of course set off the inner drama queen for a period of time, however, less long than it would some of you!

Nonetheless, I realize that although I want a master’s degree, maybe I don’t want it enough at this particular moment in time. I’m certainly not focussed enough on a specific topic. Maybe I’m hungrier for something more, maybe I need more freedom to explore and yet do the same amount of work to produce an equally substantive result in different form.

My idea is that Wikipedia is going to be part of the process toward that end.

I’ve written about ten articles for WikiHow. Does that count? Probably not…

I add a little something to The O.C., but as they say, “I could have danced all night.”

This will be an on going work in progress that I will come back to when I have more time on my hands to do so.
