make a Firefox extension

I’ve done this in that I now have an ‘LKBM (H)’ item on the Tools menu that does an alert saying ‘LKBM’s sampel script.’ But I’m not sure that really counts.

It used to just say ‘LKBM’ next to the status bar, but status bar space is precious.

I’ve finally taken over the task of learning how to write a Firefox extension.
It’s not that hard but I reckon documentation is still lacking a bit around the web.

I’ll explain there bit by bit all the steps to develop a fairly complex extension for Firefox 1.5 and I’ll try to share as many practical tips as possible.
