AnnabelleBlanc is wandering the realm of possibility
I’ve always been a big fan of any foreign film, but those created and woven by the French always pull at my heart strings. Their genuine sometimes quirky style, unique humor and lavish stories keep me enthralled and wanting more. I’d like to be more knowledgable on the whole, so that I could share with my friends and find common ground with others :]
Worth doing!
I’ve become a Bruno Cremer thrall off of the episodes of Maigret they bring on the DC area MHZ Networks channels program International Mystery. Before that, I’d look for films but, barring Ma Vie En Rose, couldn’t get into the plots.
Watching these programs has made me way more interested in French films and I’m planning on raiding the library for as many as I can find on recommendations and availability.
I’m so sorry :/ but I must create new account :/ I change something and now I can’t log in on my real account : “maliboo” so… please write to me on malibo with 3x ooo—> “malibooo”

i don’t know if this counts, actually, i know it doesn’t… but i’ve been practicing listening to french by changed my movies to the dubbed french version. dubbing’s annoying, but it gives me a better feel for spoken french.
Worth doing!
....she’s the one who checks whether there is a French film on at The Duke Of Yorks and any time she asks us we are happy to go.
Worth doing!
Went to see this last night and thought that it was good but flawed….there were lots of moments that made me laugh, but some of the dream sequences got a bit self indulgent. Not sure if I could recommend it to anyone else, but 1 out of 10 people will love this film and the rest won’t be sure.

Watched Cache last week. Very french that’s all I can say. It was entertaining at least. Also I recently joined a meetup group of local francophiles so I’m looking forward to cafe chats and probably taking in some movies and the like.

Saw Amelie finally. Very cute! Almost too cute. And at least there was a plot. it was a little bit predictable though, I knew the guy was the repairman :)
