Silver Falls  — 9 hours ago

So technically I’ve now done this. A couple weeks back (maybe 2) I was headed to Portland to shop. Along the way we made a slight detour to Silver Falls. We only had time to check out one waterfall before having to get back on the road, but the waterfall we saw we also got to walk behind! Cool, yes, but it was so small it wasn’t really my idea of actually walking behind a waterfall – at least not in the way I had envisioned. Anyhow, so above is the fall mentioned. Not checking this off, though, until I’ve walked behind a waterfall in which I envision as accomplishing this goal. ;)

Ok, so the waterfall’s not in Central Oregon. It’s actually across the mountain by Salem. Sometimes I forget M’s a bit spontaneous like that. Not sure I want to drive over there tomorrow with so many things I want to do this weekend. Maybe this should be a goal for another weekend … perhaps in a week or two.

After finishing reading an incredibly amazing article about Blue Brain (I have a passionate interest in things like this … if you like the first page, be sure to read all nine!) I came to 43things to browse. The first “goal” on the front page that popped out at me was this one. I looked over at M, who is sitting at his computer near me researching a new motorcycle to replace his current Ducati, and tell him that standing behind a waterfall sounds like fun. He turns away from the sportbike he’s looking at (and is actually now on his way down to test ride) and asks if I want to stand behind a waterfall tomorrow. So, of course guess what I’m doing tomorrow? Standing behind a waterfall. I love Central Oregon more and more each passing day. :)

have you guys ever seen “The Last of the Mohicans?” I just always remembered them jumping through the waterfall and hiding behind the waterfall….it was so cool. How romantic would it be to like kiss someone behind a waterfall.
