it would be even better if no one knew where the secret tunnels and rooms were but me.

but as to date, we have just managed to restrict access _{due to safety and sanity concerns} to parts of the various parts of the house. doesn’t really count much towards this goal. I mean, yesterday we installed a door to the kitchen. if only it were a trap door…

now combine that with wonderous whimsy of steampunk .

the entrydoor/foyer could be steampunked as a Victorian airlock. the mail slot could be remade as pneumatic tubes!

the trap doors could work by cogs and gears, and the hidden rooms and secret tunnel could have elaborate brass etchings and amazing murals made of old Hoover parts. :)

I think it’d be amazing to have a house like this, but the think is, i’m going to have to have a great job that pays well so i can afford it. I don’t want simple things in my house, I want something that is so complicated, my cat can’t even figure how to get in it.. haha. But I just think it’d be cool. Like if a robber comes in your house or something, you can just sneak away inside a hidden room or a secret tunnel. And the police wouldn’t be able to find you if you did something bad. haha. But just think, how cool would it be to get away from everything, and just be alone, to think, to write. It’d be amazing.

especially little tunnels hidden behind walls that lead to creepy dungeons and whatnot. and definitely one of those libraries with infinitely high shelves that have an inconspicuous book (sherlock holmes, probably) as a lever, opening the doorway to a giant labyrinth.

Especially, a room with like, the mirrored sliding closet doors, except if you slide them the right way, it reveals a hidden passage way. I saw it in a dream once.
