Visit the Sausage Shoppe in Cleveland

Husband and I watch No Reservations on a regular basis…imagine the surprise when we saw Cleveland featured! Cleveland is the original home town of husband and he learned a lot. Tops on the list to visit is The Sausage Shoppe.

This is a last-of-the-old-world charcuterist. This is fast becoming a lost art as people believe that Johnsonville is the epitome of brautwurst and believe that bacon marketed by Oscar Meyer as “hickory smoked” comes close to the same thing. (For the record I make my own bacon – deeeelish! and simple – you’ll never go back if you get started, I swear!) We need to sample this while it’s still around. Besides, it’s a nice excuse to head back to Cleveland!
