i did this yesterday & properly tagged 15GB of my essential music in a little under an hour (granted, maybe only 30% of it was improperly tagged but i still checked all of them). i used tag & rename (it’s free for 30 days), which helped immensely. definitely worth it!

Ok, so that only took… uh… FOREVER, but now all of my music is properly tagged. I’m not really sure if it was worth it, but I feel a lot better now that all my music is in order.
shrug
If I had the choice to go back in time and do it again, I probably wouldn’t…
I had about 90% done for the mp3s on my player…
and then it figures that the player breaks, so I need to go and get a new one, and redo all the tags.

But that’s not the point! I signed up for an iTunes account, and that took care of most of the album artwork and missing song info I had. The only thing I need to do now is go through and make sure all of my Japanese song/album titles are actually in Japanese (and not romaji or just random characters). It’s also really annoying, too, to find some of the album artwork for lesser known cds.
Anyway, I’m hanging in there. Hopefully I can get this done by the end of the week! :D
I worked on this a little more today… but I also downloaded about 3 more gigs of music :(
Today I took 3 hours and cleaned up my mp3 tags a bit (ok, so it wasn’t on purpose, it just kind of happened). I worked mostly on finding album art since some of the music I listen to is pretty obscure, but I was also able to fix a lot of the Japanese names, too (so that it actually said something besides just being a random mass of characters).
That really seems like it took way longer than it needed to. Also, I’m late for my meeting, haha XP Oh well.
