This is a photo of the Cherry Rose sunflower (taken 14 April)
It has now lost its petals and is forming seeds… :) Yay!

Okay, we’re digging through the Territorial Seed Company’s catalog for our garden seed order this spring, and they have a few wonderfully RED sunflowers.
http://www.territorialseed.com/
There are the 2 foot tall Double Dandy’s FL3292; multibranching with 4” flowers; fine for pots or near walkways.
I’m the most intrigued with the Infrared Mix; FL3289; these grow to six feet tall, and I have a place for tall sunflowers this year! These have dark seeds.
Then, o then, there are the brilliant RED FL3282 Prado Red, an early sunflower, branching for lots of flowers per plant.
There’s also the Red Sun which is more bronze-maroon with yellow tips; Floristan which is really red-brown petals around a dark face; and the Ring of Fire that are about half and half red-base and yellow-tipped petals.
What are YOU going to grow?

the seeds yesterday :)
Only planted half of the seeds so if they don’t mature I can try again next spring :)

but I guess putting them in some potting mix would help!
SIGH… still haven’t got around to planting them yet

the Crimson Queen (red) sunflower seed… also some Cherry Rose (pink) sunflower seed…
I also added to the order angelica, sacred basil, elecampane and fennel...
