And let me tell you, it was fantastic. It was on the beach in puerto vallarta, which made it that much more amazing. I don’t know why i waited so long to achieve this goal.

I finally used my passport. I went to mexico which wasn’t enough to get a stamp in it, but at least i put it to use.

I thought i was tan then, but now after my trip I’m waaaay darker. But it definitely helped to get a little bit of pre-tanning in so i didn’t just burn.

I escaped for an entire week. It was amazing and much needed. And now I have a killer tan!

The first official My Baby Rocks photoshoot. Presley and Lexi were my models. They looked so cute. Lexi is a natural. She is going to be gorgeous when she grows up. Presley is just adorable. He looks like a little surfer dude. (i’ll post some of the pics as soon as I get around to editing them.)

I’m not going to mark this as done yet though, i want to get a larger variety of models including babies, toddler and even some pregnant women to model the maternity line. I will probably schedule another photoshoot once we add some new products over the next couple of months including baby dresses and new colors of hoodies.

A walk in the park

I’ve spent so much time working this summer that i haven’t really done a lot of outdoor summery activities, so my skin is a little pale these days. Before I go to mexico in october, I want to build up a bit of a tan so I don’t just fry. I went tanning the other day (which i hate doing, but i was pressed for time). I hope to get some swimming or something in so I can get some real sun too, but if not, I’ll just settle for the tanning beds. There will be plenty of real sun to enjoy in Mexico.

I was getting ready to board the plane, but desperately needed some hostess lemon fruit pie things. I ran into a grocery store that was connected to the airport and raced up and down he isles looking for them. They didn’t have any single pies for sale, just a giant 48 piece case. I bought that. I was desperate. I guess the dream was more about lemon pies than hawaii, but that was the intended destination.

I’m thinking Solitude and Brighton.

So far we only sell retail online through our own site, but we want to start selling wholesale to other online stores as well as brick and mortar stores all around the world. We’ve had a lot of requests from all over with people asking how to set up wholesale accounts. We are stupid for taking this long to implement this, but it’s just a funding issue. It will take quite a bit of money to get all the inventory stocked up plus we will need a larger space to hold it all. Hopefully we should be getting this going within the next couple of months.

So this has always been a hard one for me.

But I will do it.

The new office we moved into has quite a few older and more successful people we’ve started hanging around with. It’s nice to be around such positive people and very inspiring. I wouldn’t really say they are close friends yet, but a definite step in the right direction.

But it’s only temporary.

We expanded our business quite a bit and had to set up an office for all our inventory and employees. We are getting processes in place and training trustworthy employees to take them over so we can get back to our dreams of a nomadic lifestyle.

One new friend to add to the list. I’ve met her before, but i really connected with her a couple weekends ago. She will be a lot of fun to go dancing with.

But i went back to buy it a week later and it was marked back up to $219. My brother used to work at the store i saw it at and says that they fluctuate the prices on it quite frequently. So I’m going to watch it until it’s back down before I buy it.

I was even trying to recruit some people to go with me. But I have quite a few commitments in october and possibly into november, so I think i might hold off until december for this one. BUT i will be doing this one shortly.

I think i might be ready to have more relationships in my life. I’m not removing this goal just yet, but I may be open to something else. Although I don’t think i’d settle for a relationship that wasn’t an adventure in and of itself.

but yesterday I did a photoshoot for my website. I brought in a couple of cute kids and dressed them up in our stuff and took them out to Saltaire to take some pics. They turned out really nice.

Now to take some pictures that in no way involve children or baby clothing.
