Ok, studying for the end of year exams at uni just now – and my God, I’m eating things I don’t even want just because! Eeeek. Oh well, in a week and a bit it’ll all be over and I can get back out exercising!
Good news though – now sitting on 174lbs!
Well, I was out on a 2-hour driving lesson today and I must say I think things are progressing REALLY well! Can do turns in the road, parallel parking, starting/stopping/gears… although roundabouts are – evidently – still eluding me! Case in point:
1:12pm (today): road works backed up the Barloan roundabout so there was nothing but blocked traffic on the actual roundabout, and all entrances (including the one I was impatiently tamping clutch-control in) were utterly gridlocked. The instructor took control of the clutch and the brake, and gave me the clear (and simple!) instruction to hold steady on the accelerator. One task – and she would do the rest, and get us out into a space and off the second exit. A guy held back to let us out and traffic ground to a halt all around – and I lifted my foot of the accelerator and stalled. In the roundabout – broadside to the lengthening line of traffic to either side and behind me. What a laugh…
Must stop waving at people who let me out!

Had my first meeting with my Spanish tutor, Enrique, today. It was a lot of fun, and not as hard as I had expected :) Really worth doing – feeling motivated :)
