It’s not going so well. I had saved $4000 by the end of September, but as of today I only have $4500. This is because my room mate moved out in October, and I had my long distance boyfriend move in but after a week it didn’t work out. My rent has gone up by 100% (since I’m no longer splitting it with another person) and as of January first my rent is going up another $100. I am not giving up, though.

I am by no means an expert, but I have studied...
Unfortunately, I’m rather alone in the heathen world, living in a relatively remote northern Canadian city.
My studying is all lore and no practice…
But they call Asatru “the religion with homework” for a reason and I love the challenge of learning it all!
Whitehorse has no Asatruar.

Since moving to Whitehorse in June 2007, I have found one other Asatruar besides myself and a friend I moved up with. I do not consider myself knowledgeable enough to take on this task, but if I don’t do it who will? How many people are heathen and don’t even know it?
My plan is to start with a “Norse Mythology” study group and see who is more interested after that.
I would consider myself lucky and successful if I’ve gotten that off the ground before Yule.
