National Moth Night (NMN) is Britain’s celebration of moths and moth recording. It was launched in 1999 and has taken place annually since then, the date varying each year in order to focus recording effort on different parts of the season.
Info: National Moth Night
I’m planning to join other moffers at a local nature reserve – weather permitting. We went last year and it was a really good night out!

It’s not just new gates I need, but the fencing needs repairing too!
The goats have managed to make a hole in the stretch of chainlink fence between their paddock and the veg garden… but I suppose they’re keeping the weeds in there down a bit!

I went to a local nature reserve yesterday and listened to nightingales singing – such a wonderful experience and one that I never tire of.
I tried to make a recording, which can be listened to here.
