The new office we moved into has quite a few older and more successful people we’ve started hanging around with. It’s nice to be around such positive people and very inspiring. I wouldn’t really say they are close friends yet, but a definite step in the right direction.

I’m 26 and managed to dodge that whole thing. But the problem is, so many of my friends didn’t.
Most of the people i hung out with in high school/college have long since gotten married and started doing the family thing.
As a result, my friend group has gotten younger and younger. Which is fine, but so many of them are still in that whole “party every night” mode. I feel like I’m not quite on the same level as them anymore. I have my own business and I’m trying to accomplish more with my life than just a series of hang overs.
I think i need to meet older people. My age or earl-mid thirties. People who are motivated and that i can have more meaningful (and maybe even sober) conversations with.
But where do they hang out? They aren’t at bars. Are they all just married and old and boring now?
