My photos are getting better and better 3 years ago

Here are a couple of examples from my flickr.com site:

http://photos22.flickr.com/24373508_b76b6efcfb_o.jpg is one I took in color and changed to black and white for dramatic effect. It’t a portrait of a 2-year old african-american girl.
http://photos18.flickr.com/24141260_5d3e31fde4_o.jpg is a favorite water lily photo.

Inspiration is the key!!! 3 years ago
What’s helped me take more pictures?
  • get in the habit of taking the camera almost *everywhere”
  • Buy a digital camera, and you’ll never have to buy film or make prints again (unless you want to)
  • subscribe (FREE) to flickr.com – This is KEY – You can always get support, ideas, and inspirtation there.
  • Take more pictures. . .Oddly the more you take, the more you will take. It’s habit forming in a good way.

Go to flickr for fun and inspiration. Set up a FREE account. 3 years ago
I just discovered flickr a couple of weeks ago, and I’m addicted. People who photograph do so for these reasons:
  • To find and capture beauty
  • To share that beauty they’ve found with others
  • To get inspiration and ideas from others
  • To receive praise from others,
  • To give support to others.

Sounds a LOT like 43things doesn’t it? Only with goal setting.

Go there, get an account, and explore the beautiful stuff others are sharing. I’m sure you’ll find it inspiring!

Only in the last 15 months 3 years ago

I have seen a phenomenal growth spurt in this skill. The main ingredient to my success was simply “TAKING TONS OF PICTURES”. Practice may not make perfect, but it deffinitely makes BETTER. Remember the old addage that “If you let a monkey type randomly on a typewriter, eventually he will write a sonet. Well, sometimes I feel like a monkey on a camera, but every 1,000 pictures or so, I have a very good one. And you can just TRASH the others, so no one has to know. ;-)

I have been taking lots of photos with my Digital Camera 3 years ago

At this point, people are starting to PAY me do take photos. I’m doing my first wedding next week. Two lesbian artist have asked me to photograph the jewelry they make. I took photos of a couple in a bar, gave them my card, told them to Email me if they wanted the photos, and they did. I gave them those for FREE, and later they wrote back with a job offer to take photos for their company. I’m on my way!!!.
