I think perhaps the reason I have been lacking energy, drive, enthusiasm, libido and a general passion for life recently is my diet.
It could also be my lack of sleep… Maybe I should slow down a little.
Went to gym today:
226lb bench press / 75s / 3 reps
280lb leg press / 120s / 6 reps
They’re still going up! But hell am I aching today!
Went today, kept the weights the same
222lb bench press
272lb leg press
Hopefully next week, they go up!
Ok, so I didn’t go swimming today. I did go to the gym though, and my weights are now:
222lb chest press / 80 seconds / 3 reps
272lb leg press / 110 seconds / 5 reps
I’ll do some form of activity tomorrow. Guaranteed.
So tomorrow marks a bold step. After being disgusted with my swimming ability at a pool party, part of my “get fit” plan includes being able to swim at least 1000m, preferably 2000. I’ll be heading down to the pool tomorrow morning for a few laps…

300lb on bench press
300lb leg press pre-pin
14 full pull ups
80 sit ups
60 press ups
Level 14 bleep test
Able to easily swim 1000m
Less than 10% body fat
