learn to ride a horse

Just thought I’d mention that it’s been over a year now since I took my first riding lesson and completed this goal. I’m now jumping (!) and I also work at the stables as a tack girl, and am learning all about the care and keeping of horses. I hope that maybe someday I will be able to have my own! I’ve gotten so much more confident around horses, I love them to death.

I just started lessons over the summer, and I am in love. I’m still very much a beginner, but I’ve just started cantering! Let me tell you, it is much harder than it looks! lol

I look forward to my Saturday morning lessons now; it’s my end-of-the-week treat!

For my birthday, one of my best friends got me a $100 gift certificate for riding lessons! I was so happy I almost cried. I’ve been wanting to learn how to ride for so long. When I was little I used to take lessons, and I remember loving it, but stopped after the horse took off one time and I couldn’t stop him, nearly falling off. I’m so glad I’ll be getting another shot at this! Goal almost completed!
