finish JD's quilty

Here’s a square that shows a bunch of the fabrics used in the quilt.

I was sweating it ever so slightly because I really wasn’t totally sure where the quilt was since we upended the guest room. (aka fabric hoarding storage facility)... but yesterday I found it. It is really pretty – I gotta get going on this! I have about half of the top made and a bunch (Most) of the other needed blocks made so it’s really just a matter of making a couple more blocks and sewing it all together – and then basting it and quilting it and – uh, binding it. OK , i’m not that close to being done.

Also was able to reinstall the DEAR JANE software on my now-vista-ated computer and it works! yahoo! x-ref with Jane a STickle goal.

i need to start quilting again. it’s so easy to just start hoarding fabric again and not actually make anything, and of course, more than half the fun is in actually handling these fabrics i love so much (judie!!) and making beautiful blocks out of them. once again my perfectionism disorder strikes and i think ‘but what if the quilt’s not perfect’ I don’t really think in those words, but definitely in thoughts that mean the same thing… and i have to let go of that… i am dying to dig back into it. what’s stopping me? clutter. work. guilt.
