make jewelry from fiber

I recently got cards for tablet weaving and did the first length I’ve done in long years; gave it to a new friend at a camping weekend, who immediately put it on not as a belt but as a long-skinny scarf, or femme-tie, or what have you. I like the idea; could do more like this!

There’s also a woman who shows at SF’s Celebration of Craftswomen who does amazing work in silk knotting as wearable sculpture/landscape/abstracts to go on a neck – she also charges the worth of her 500 knots-to-the-inch work and gets it, bless her soul, and better yet, bless her artist’s eye and continuation.
