okay, I’ve cast on some self-striping sock yarn to dpns, and because I’m more of a chicken than a geek for figuring out turning a heel at this point, I’m going to do that spiral rib thingie I read about in a Danish writer’s Lark Book (I’ve forgotten the author and the book title of course, but recall the publisher. Am I an editing wonk? You BETCHA.)
So the spiral thin is to do K3, P3 (or K4, P4, or…) and shift every (single, third, fifth) row, from the toe on up as far as… it’s supposed to be stretchy enough to not required a turned heel, and also to stay UP on the calf.
Eee. Perhaps I’ll post a picture when it is farther along.
