Make a 43things Cookbook (read all 27 entries…)
I'm going to compile the recipes 8 months ago

I’ll post it here what I end up doing with them. I’m not making any promises about nuthin’ as I have no idea what kind of time or resources I’m willing to put into this. But this thread has gone on quite a bit, more than 50 posts, so we’ll see what I come up with!

Cook Book

I’ve been thinking about this for a while now too. I was actually thinking that we should start requesting specific themes of recipes to round out the cookbook. For example, for the next two weeks everyone posts appetizers, then desserts, then main dishes, then side dishes, or whatever chapters we want in a recipe book.

You’ll have a fan in me.

YAY!!!!

On behalf of all the people here who can´t cook (or is it just me????) I thank you.

Myself, I doubt it is only you!

I can’t cook a lot of things. I have very little patience for anything that takes more than 1/2 hour of messing with it.

Impatience is NOT good in a cook, you open the door too often to see what’s going on with a souflee (ugly mess, but yummy), makes lumpy gravy and/or mashed potatoes, etc. I have to work at not taking too many shortcuts when things are involved.

It’s one reason I love roasts and soups. You make ‘em and let ‘em go on their own, mostly.

I have very little experience in the kitchen

and very little time to cook. However, I’ve been trying to cook more often,I’ve been experimenting with new recipes, and so far it has been fun and the food tastes good. Maybe I’m about to discover a hidden talent, hehe.

Myself,

I’m not sure what possessed me, but I did a blog about what I made for dinner.

I blog VERY infrequently, and of the 3 (!) blogs I’ve started, this one I’d never done an entry for, but tonight I wrote up making dinner. (Don’t ask me why…I don’t know!)

It’s here:

http://homeoftoomanybooks.blogspot.com/

Can you do me a favor and read what I wrote and tell me anywhere I might have lost you? The only one I can think of is the bit about the oil: “In a frying pan, heat a little olive oil (not much, just enough to keep things from burning for a little while) until it’s hot but not smoking,...” because the judgment (enough to keep things from burning) requires experience. If you see others, let me know, and I’ll “thunk” on trying to say what I mean about the oil another way meanwhile.

Thanks!

Judith

Instructions are very clear

I don’t know what kielbasa is.

nicolasc is procrastinating. But she's doing it in a timely and efficient manner.

Thanks
